KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools introduces the Hi-Per Feed MS, a new high-performance end mill series engineered for high-feed machining of stainless steels and high-temperature alloys. Combining advanced geometry, premium carbide, and proprietary Ti-NAMITE-A coating technology, the Hi-Per Feed MS is designed to maximize metal removal while maintaining process stability, helping manufacturers achieve shorter cycle times, extended tool life, and reliable performance in demanding applications.
At the center of the Hi-Per Feed MS design is a dual axial radius cutting edge that creates an axial chip thinning effect and redirects cutting forces into the spindle. This improves machining stability and reduces tool deflection while allowing shallow depths of cut to be paired with high feed rates for efficient material removal. Optimized end gashing promotes effective chip evacuation during aggressive high-feed milling, while select sizes feature internal coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone for improved chip evacuation and heat control.
The Hi-Per Feed MS features KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools’ Ti-NAMITE-A PVD coating to reduce friction, improve wear resistance, and minimize built-up edge when machining stainless steels and high-temperature alloys. Available in metric and imperial sizes with 2xD, 4xD, and 6xD reach lengths and 4- or 6-flute configurations based on diameter, the series provides a comprehensive offering for a wide range of demanding high-feed applications.
